Slavery.

Most people think it’s a thing of the past. But it’s not. For thousands of Mongolians, it’s every day life.

MONGOLIA is a source and destination country for thousands of people subjected to forced labor and sex trafficking. Mongolian men, women and children are subjected to forced labor and sex trafficking in China, Hong Kong, Malaysia, Indonesia, Turkey, Kazakhstan, the UAE, the Czech Republic, and Sweden.

IT'S HAPPENING RIGHT IN FRONT OF US

IN OUR WORKPLACES:

Women and girls are subjected to sex trafficking in Mongolia in massage parlors, hotels, bars, and karaoke clubs.

ON OUR SOCIAL MEDIA:

Traffickers sometimes use drugs or fraudulent social networking, online job opportunities, and English language programs to lure victims into sex trafficking.

IN OUR COMMUNITIES:

Mongolian children are sometimes forced to beg, steal, or work, often with the complicity of family members.

Every day, Unbound, our community team, and local partners are standing together to raise awareness and fight the issue of human trafficking in Mongolia.
